![]() ![]() Se debe resaltar que los resultados favorables alcanzados en la experiencia científica que se presenta, solo será efímera y transitoria si las asignaturas que dan continuidad al ciclo básico de la formación en los estudios de derecho, no emprenden acciones similares. Los resultados alcanzados con el software Zotero corroboran hechos reconocidos desde hace algunos años en la literatura, llegándose a reconocer como atractivo y útil (Duong, 2010), por la versatilidad que ofrece (Hensley, 2011), al despertar el interés en mayorías (Emanuel, 2013), la potencialidad real que ofrece para el análisis, ordenamientos y estudio de fuentes de información diversas (Rempel & Mellinger, 2015), las prestaciones que facilita en el acto de la investigación científica (Melles & Unsworth, 2015), su utilidad práctica (Nichols Hess & Hristova, 2016) y la sencillez operativa (Lonergan, 2017). (Koparan, 2019), como en las actitudes hacia la investigación científica (Kolpashnikova & Bartolic, 2019) y en la percepción hacia la investigación general (Wahler, 2019). There were no statistically significant differences in the interest of PDF management features between the user and non-user groups but there were statistically significant differences in the interest of some of the training options between the groups. Mobile features were of the least interest. PDF annotation and reading tools were also of some interest. ![]() Students were most interested in full-text searching of PDFs, automatic renaming of PDFs, and automatically extracting citation metadata from a PDF. Most of the students saved PDF documents to their computer. RMS users also mentioned the steep learning curve, problems with extracting metadata from PDFs, technical issues, and problems with inaccurate citation styles. The principal reasons for non-use were that students were not aware of options that were available, and the amount of time needed to learn the program. Non-users managed their citations and references with a variety of other tools. Both users and non-users of reference management software were invited to participate. Interest in different types of PDF management features and training options were also investigated. Graduate students at the University of Manitoba were surveyed to find out if they used reference management software (RMS), features used, challenges and barriers to using RMS. ![]()
